Support Mediterranean Member States towards implementation of the MSFD new GES Decision and programmes of measures and contribute to regional/subregional cooperation
The main objective of the project is to pave the ground for a coherent and consistent implementation of the new Commission Decision performing pilot studies in the Mediterranean areas, in order to test the applicability and the effectiveness of integrated methods for evaluating the good environmental status using data derived by the MSFD monitoring projects. The purpose of the project is also to support the competent authorities of the member states by addressing their cooperation need to implement the MSFD.
