OGS blue skills at the 2nd Stakeholder Conference of the Union for the Mediterranean
Three years after the adoption of the historic Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Ministerial Declaration on the Sustainable Blue Economy in 2021 and the subsequent Implementation Strategy adopted in 2022, the representatives of the parties involved in the Sustainable Blue Economy in the Mediterranean met in Athens to discuss concrete actions and workable solutions across the region.
The conference, which concludes today, represents an important stage in taking stock of progress made, discussing common challenges and transformation tools, and involving the entire Mediterranean community in defining the way forward for further deliberations at political level.
On the first day, the activities of the Blue Skills strategic initiative were presented, which promotes opportunities for maritime careers through capacity building, skills development, knowledge sharing and talent dissemination across the Mediterranean region
