My current research uses Earth Climate System Models, ice-sheet models and Glacio-isostatic adjustment models to investigate the interactions between ice sheets and climate. In particular, I am interested in the interplay between tropics and polar areas in the context of climate transitions in both Northern and Southern Hemisphere. More recently I have started to investigate the interactions between ice sheets and ocean at different timescales in Antarctica but also during the past glaciations in the Northern Hemisphere. I am considering the climate processes evolution at different timescales and from past to future, integrating all the components of the climate system from a multi-disciplinary point of view. At last, I also investigate the sedimentological processes and in particular sequential stratigraphy and backstripping in relationship with sea level changes and ice sheet dynamics.
