POEM 2011 - OCEANOGRAPHIC WORKSHOP IN ROME

With the support of "Presidente della Repubblica” and to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the project "Physical Oceanography of the Eastern Mediterranean – POEM", the Space Academy Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to promote science and technology, and the Commission Internationale pour l'Exploration Scientifique de la Mèr Mèditerranée (CIESM), in cooperation with the Italian Academy of Science (Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei) the world oldest academy of sciences, and OGS (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale) have organized a workshop focused on the oceanography of the Mediterranean Sea: “Variability of the Eastern and Western Mediterranean Circulation and Thermohaline Properties; Similarities and Differences”.

The workshop will be held in Rome (Italy), from 7 to 9 November 2011, in the premises of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, Via della Lungara 10.
